| In keeping with the social justice teaching of the Catholic Church and St. John Bosco charitable work for the poor the DON BOSCO COMMUNITY CENTER strives to read the signs of the times and address the urgent needs of the neighborhood and the local Port Chester community. Now in the 21st century Port Chester continues to be a bridge to the future for new immigrants and those long time residents who have lived near or in poverty for years. DON BOSCO is a "home that welcomes" adult men and women - parents in need, the elderly, widowed folks, singles, the unemployed, the working poor, the immigrant, day laborers, the homeless, etc.
