| The DON BOSCO COMMUNITY CENTER (DBCC) was established in 1928 by the parishioners of Our Lady of the Rosary Church (est. 1904), the Salesians of St. John Bosco (Roman Catholic priests & brothers) and the Italian community of Port Chester as a social, recreational, and educational center for the growing immigrant community. Over the years it has transformed itself to meet the needs of the local neighborhood and the Port Chester/Sound Shore community.
Today DBCC offers multi-lingual youth and adult social/support services to the community-at-large without regard to sex, race, and religion. Meeting rooms and recreational spaces (gymnasium) are available for community/neighborhood events/activities. DBCC houses the following programs and many more: DBCC was formally incorporated under New York State law as a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit corporation on January 10, 2007 under the title: DON BOSCO COMMUNITY CENTER OF PORT CHESTER, INC. Federal ID Number: 20-8204907.
